Character or trauma

It was once said that everyday life challenges shape our character,

today it is only traumas…

Before, people did not run away, did not hide their heads in the sand,

they trusted themselves, their strength and their will.

They didn’t wait for help,

they were coping on their own.

“If you can count, count on yourself” – they said.

Today we live surrounded by herds of molluscs.

Anyone with depression and high expectations for everything.

Nobody wants to be called a weak man.

And talking about their depression* they call a strength.

I disagree.

Instead of lamenting – as it is now trendy – about your traumas,

break through the fear,

move your ass,

get what’s yours!

* diagnosed depression, and the conviction of being depressed is different.
